Just a quick question but has anybody had an problems with the NFS Carbon disk for the xbox360?

I know it is an old game but i have had 2 copies of this game (so far) the first was the normal release disk and after it cracked i got the Collectors edition and it has gone the same way.

I get the message the disk is either dirty or damaged? i have played it for a while, nolonger than another of my xbox games cod 4, gow, crackdown, assassins creed, bioshock all of these games i have played for hours and hours and no problems at all.

But with both my carbon disks they have died at some point with fractures around the inner ring of the disk..

Any help or info would much appreciated. :hail:

I think you take the games out of their cases too rough. Less pulling on the disks, More pushing on the release button.

Oddly enough the three copies that were at the video store I used to work at all cracked too. They started with a little stress mark and then ended up going through the rest of the disk and spidering slightly. Also happened with Peter Jackson's King Kong. Not sure if it is a manufacturing problem or something in common with the earlier releases. Interesting indeed.

Hi Slate, I take it easy when ever i remove or place a disk back into its case, all my disks are looked after, thats why i find it irritating this has happened twice and with the same game. Thus i'm thinking it maybe be a problem with the disks themselves.

As mnbren05 also mentioned he noticed that before with certain games, its not like i play the game all day long and am taking it out of its case lots of times, my Gears, Crackdown and cod4 they get alot of usage, and there all fine.

When i first got halo3, i had it for 4 weeks, i was playing online slayer, when i noticed my xbox making a funny werring noise, so i jumped up, stopped the xbox and looked at the disk, it had the fine stress fractures, so i'm thinking certain types of disks arent up to the job of whizzing around in an xbox for long time? there must just be bad batches i guess??

But its off to ebay or a game store to get me another copy, i was hoping to get the 1000G for Carbon, but some of the achievements are nearly beyond impossible!?! Simply some of the achievements cant be gotten since some of the events dont happen anymore! Grrrr

Thanks for the replys guys!:guitar:
