I have seen them from time to time on Yahoo Auctions Japan. You will need a deputy service to bid on your behalf. I recommend "shopping mall japan".
Failing that, you could also post on www.aussiearcade.com.au to get sellers that are more local.

What if you run the cart with a Mod-Bios? You should be able to put the cart into english.

my understanding is that the cart is a set region and the bios mod is because the games have region prootection.. im pretty ure games have one language per cart..

Are you sure the Japanese version won't work on a US board? I"m under the impression most ST-V carts don't have region protection and will display the language of the region the BIOS is set to.
As I'm looking at it, System 16 says this needs a CD Rom along with the cart: http://www.system16.com/hardware.php?id=711&page=5#2011

Yes, ST-V games, much like MVS games, are dependent on the BIOS installed. There are a few games that will ONLY work on specific BIOS regions, though the list of those is fairly small. Further information available here: http://home.online.no/~tjaberg/stv/index.htm

Sorry, my mistake on that. I had a few STV carts that worked on my switched bios motherboard.
