"The only Mario I know is that guy in the library, Mario Poozy." :shameful:
A neat thing to watch in retrospective. Note the tone of the story, as if video games never happpened before the then-present: "Crash? What crash?!"

Mario Puzo was a very good author. That vid was quite a blast from the past. That show was always so dumb. Bill O'Reilly douchebag alert.

I've seen the video before, but it is still great to watch. It has everything! The old World of Nintendo, Nintendo Power Hotline, and even ol' Howdie Doodie, err Howard Phillips.
I never realized that behind the Mario tips book was the Zelda Tips and Tricks booklet which I still own.

The part I like was the the department store with all the Nintendo stuff. I remember that well.

My local dept. store had one of those spinning displays with Nintendo game posters on it. Overall, interesting video with a nice look back at some stuff. I laughed when they said "These people get paid to play games!" Like it is a total surprise that they could actually earn money doing this. It funny to hear, "Hidden passages often not detailed in the instructions. Can you imagine if game instructions today detailed all of the hidden passages/secrets in a game. Plus the fun club president looks like a tool.

Yeah, I laughed at this, as well. I even got the impression that the reporter thought it was a bad thing that they didn't disclose "hidden passages" in the instructions. :)

I guess he didn't understand that if the hidden passages were documented in the instruction manuals, they wouldn't be hidden passages!
