Playstation trivia question...

Here's a run into the land of the obscure for you.

I had a game that had a section under Options that would let you try to center of your analog joysticks. It also displayed the raw value it read from the PSx controller. It was novel so I filed that bit away, but the game was rather forgettable.

My question is this: What game was it, and was it for PS1 or PS2? I did it once and I can't remember a damn thing about it now, other than I spent the last 3 hours looking for it with no luck in my collection. Hell, for all I know, I sold it off already. :|

Thoughts? Ideas?

Jez.....I should know this one, I want to say the original Tomba but I don't think so. It was certainly a PlayStation title and pre dualshock.

On the subject of trivia, there was a controller called the "analog joystick" and that was the big dual flightstick. I assume your not talking about that controller or are you? The standard controllers with 2 thumbsticks was first called the "Analog Controller" without vibration feedback or a multi-speed (large) motor. Then came the DualShock with 2 eccentric weighted motors for vibration and the large motor was variable speed.

I want to say either Rally Cross or something in the early Ace Combat series...but I could be wrong on either count.

I know both were some of the first games compatible with the PS1's PRE-DUALSHOCK analog controllers, like the monster dual flight sticks and the Japanese Dual-Analog controller with the single rumble motor.

I think I still have Ace Combat2 or 3 I hope I didn't get rid of it. :| Oh well, I'll check when I get home. Thanks for the suggestions.

And to clarify, I'm talking about the standard 'dual shock' type controller. I'm working on something and I thought that this would provide handy information for my project.
