I think there might already be a thread for this and I can't find it, but I would definitely recommend Ashita no Joe which is also called Tomorrow's Joe. It is an awesome boxing game based off of a famous japanese manga and is my favorite boxing game next to Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!.

Plenty. It all depends on your prefrence and ability or lack of to understand and play a game in a different language.
Give some genres of gaming your interested in as well as the amount of language skill required and recomendations will probly come pooring in reguardless of the thread being done many times over.

Konami's Parodius is definitely worth owning if you're into shmups.

The SNES version of Super Dodge Ball, "Kunio-Kun no Dodge Ball", has an excellent game that is unfortunately buried under pages and pages of insane Japanese text that is as user-unfriendly as it gets. But, if you're willing to overlook that tiny little detail and you have a friend handy, it's a great multiplayer title!!

Gundam Wing: Endless Duel is pretty damn awesome. As are the Parodius titles.

If you can find the Japanese version of Ninja Gaiden Trilogy snatch it up. But be prepared to pay some big bucks.

My highest recommendation to DoReMi Fantasy, Return of Double Dragon (way better than its US "Super Double Dragon" counterpart), Godzilla Kaijuu Daikessen, The Firemen, Battle Cross, and a few others. Check out the link in my signature for an "Obscure SFC Impression" section, over 50 SNES imports are featured.
I also enjoyed Rendering Ranger: R2 but that one is tough to find and might cost you over 100 bones.
