GBC Pokemon Splitting

Several years back when my friends and i played Pokemon we used to pull the link out half way through the trade and it would cut whatever pokemon it was in half. In the end i had about five or so of my lvl 80 pikachus. i was wondering if anyone else knew of this.

I haven't seen a post of this yet and if there is point me the right way.

I knew there were a ton of glitches involving the link cable.

I used to do it using a state save device from pelican. Normally you'd use it to make copies of your save, so i'd copy my game, trade away the pokemon, then trade them back. I also managed to copy my yellow version over my blue version so i had a pikachu walking around behind me. It eventually corrupted the game though.

I'm glad to see others knew of this and i wasn't the only ahem *cheater* of that game

O and that is also how i got every 1 of the legendary birds to.
