Who hear likes to collect a particular series?
I like to collect Castlevania, and I have a few series complete (or as complete as I am willing to make them XD)

List all your series collections here if you want, or if you want, which you are trying to collect, no matter how short the series is.

My series collections:
Gungrave
Crash Bandicoot (all the PSOne games)
Halo

The ones I'm searching for:
Castlevania
Suikoden
Persona
Gran Turismo (looking for the concept games)
Elder Scrolls

I'd have to say Zelda and Mario games.
Oddworld and TES are next! :)

Zelda & Advance Wars come to mind. And although it's not a "series" per se I made a specific effort to get every Star Wars title for the N64.

I've started playing through a few series on the Wii using the GC compatibility. It's nice to be able to play through all the games in a series on one machine.

So far I have Resident Evil 0, REmake, 2, 3, and Code Veronica X on the GameCube and 4 on the Wii. I'll also be getting Umbrella Chronicles as and when. I don't suppose there's any reason to get 4 on GC too?

Metroid Prime 1 - 3. Never finished the first one, even though I got to the last boss.

I've got all the GC Zeldas, including both the bonus disks with OoT,MM and the original NES games. So not every game in the series but every one available on Wii/GC. I have the GC version of TP instead of the Wii one.

I'm looking into getting the Splinter Cell series on GC too, as I really enjoyed the first one on the Xbox (which I still have, as it has its uses ;)).

I also have Metal Slugs 1 - 5 (inc. X) on MVS cart with rather splendid ShockBox inserts. I might get 6 on Atomiswave when the price is much more reasonable. I've also got Metal Slug 1st & 2nd Missions on the Neo Pocket. And finally the Knights of Valor series on the PGM/Atomiswave. Because scrolling beat 'em ups are fun, kids.

I'm not sure if some of these are series.. but..

Ones I have:
Jet Set Radio
Front Mission (US Releases)
Bangai-O (will be complete when the DS one comes out here)

Ones I'm working on:
Dungeon Explorer
Gauntlet (Doubt I'll ever finish...)
Front Mission (Non-US Releases)
Valkyrie Profile

Hm.. I think that's about it. I have a few company collections I'm working on (notably Takumi and triAce), but thats not really apart of a series.

Wow. All your collections are better than mine XD

And neist, good luck.

Thanks. ^^

It's not all that hard to find a lot of it, with maybe Gauntlet as the exception. Theres like a million versions of Gauntlet. The only real expensive things left to get is that Valkyrie Profile LE set and Dungeon Explorer II for the Turbo Duo. I dont even have a Turbo Duo yet, so I'm not sweating it.

Wow. How many JSR games were there? I assumed only two (JGR and JSRF).

Those are the only two.

Incorrect.

Theres a GBA version and theres De La Jet Set Radio, a SEGA Direct only version of the game that is actually a Japan region coded US version (the entire game is in English).

So technically theres 4, if you don't consider the different regions. Which I may or may not finish collecting

The only one that comes to mind is my Castlevania stuff, I am trying to get a full set of all the Castlevania games at least US releases, maybe going to Japanese releases once I get a job.

If the kiosk demos for PS2, Gamecube, and Xbox count then I collect those series if not then I don't really focus on any series.

Anyone who even attempts a Castlevania collection has to be commended. Its quite a huge set of games. In fact, I'm amazed that he even made that many.

Hmm, most of these are on-going, though I've nearly completed my shining one.

- Sonic
- Zelda
- Shining (not anything post saturn)
- Harvest Moon

I've been considering starting a Star Ocean/Lufia one at some point.
Btw, do you guys include special/compilation editions and Japan only games into your collections?

So far I don't think I'm really all that far off, because a few are easily attainable, but given the fact I want them CIB and cheap, it could take a while.

Ones I still need:

Dracula X - SNES
Castlevania - NES
Castlevania 3 -NES
All of the GB Castlevanias(3 of them I believe, I know Legends is a pain in the ass)
Both PS2 games, and Curse of Darkness on Xbox
Both N64 Games
I guess I need to get the GBA games(3 of them, not counting the Double), but I already have a CIB double and a cart of whatever the other one is, so I have those already.
Castlevania Chronicles - PS1

hah i'm farther off than I thought.(11-13 off)

Side note, I am only one game away from completing my Whoopee Camp collection.

I try to include the special collections if I can find/afford them. :) Some aren't work the money it costs to get them.

There is one series that I collect. Bubble Bobble. I'm trying to get every single variation. This includes Bubble Bobble, Rainbow Islands, Parasol Stars and Puzzle Bobble. My highlights include:

Rainbow Islands NES Proto
Parasol Stars NES Proto
Bubble Bobble 2 Gameboy Proto
Bubble Bobble 2 NES with Box
Puzzle Bobble 2 MVS Kit
Bubble Bobble Sega Master System TecToy Version

Some other random ones I have off the top of my head: Bubble Bobble Famicom Complete, Bubble Bobble NES Complete, Rainbow Islands NES Complete, Rainbow Islands NES PAL Complete, Bubble Bobble Classic Gameboy Color Complete, Bubble Symphony, Bubble Bobble/Rainbow Islands PSX Complete, Parasol Stars TG16 Complete and a handful of others.

I enjoy the challenge of finding new additions to the collection.

For the time being, just the Harvest Moon and Castlevania series.

Harvest Moon is manly.

Like the manliest game ever.
It really truly is.

Castlevania and everybody knows it :B. We need to get a CV thread started again. My collection is still tiny, I really need to buy more stuff. It's amazing how much games the series has and it's a tough job going for all regions. I'm mostly promo/poster hunting now.

I'm currently trying to get a nice collection of Sega Rally Games. Only the first 2 parts though, but all the different releases of it (which is not that easy with easily 10+ versions of the PC Game)

Also I got several F-Zero (4) and Puyo Puyo (5) Games, where I'd like to have more.

I guess you could say that I collect the Final Fantasy games, since I have all of them. Not all ports/variations (yet), but I have every game in the series and the spinoffs.

Castlevania, of course :)
Mega man, I have all them for the exceptions of the ps1 and ps2 ones.
Guilty Gear, I have all the NTSC ones
YS, which seems to be a dying series
Final Fantasy, have all the old ones complete
Splatterhouse- still need splatterhouse 2 and the FM Towns one.

I'm sure I probably have loads of complete or nearly complete series that I've ended up with without making any concerted effort to collect them.

I do have a few franchises I actively support. I buy anything and everything related to tri-Ace, so I have every Star Ocean and Valkyrie Profile game. I have most regional variations, but not all. For Star Ocean I have: the Super Famicom original, US (two of 'em) and Asian versions of Star Ocean 2, Japanese and Asian versions of the original version of Star Ocean 3, US and Asian versions of the Star Ocean 3 Director's Cut, two copies of Star Ocean: Blue Sphere, the Star Ocean 1 remake on PSP, and the Star Ocean 2 enhanced port on PSP. For Valkyrie Profile, I have the US and Japanese limited edition versions of the original, US and Japanese limited edition versions of Valkyrie Profile 2, and US and Japanese versions of Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth. Mainly those collections are just missing a few PAL variants.

I'm also really big on collecting for the Wonder Project J series. There are only two games, which only came out in Japan, but I try to get my hands on any piece of merchandise I can find. I also have 10 copies of the second game. :P

I used to really actively collect for the TwinBee series, but I stopped just shy of completing it. In that case, though, I only really wanted some form of each game, so I'm not particularly interested in having all the different ports.

Do any of you know whether there are any games before or after Zone of the Enders? And if the game has anything to do with the book series by Orson Scott Card of a similar name?

I started to do it with Final Fantasy games, until I realized I'd probably never play them all.
