For the three of us here who care, of course ;)

It won't be a long wait, either.
I, for one, am glad that it's coming to the PS2 and they're sticking with the DW5/SW2 character models and personalities. I would refuse to consider purchasing the game if they used any of those...THINGS from the abomination that is DW6.

I just sold the first Warriors Orochi. I got it in a lot of games. I never played it, but was surprised to see how much it went for. I've never been into the DW games, so I figured I might as well sell that one too.

The good: Warriors Orochi is Koei's finest moment, putting the best stuff from the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors series into one very neat package. If any Koei title deserves a sequel, this is the one.
The bad: BIG fucking surprise that any of the Dynasty Warriors engine games gets a sequel. Find one that hasn't! If it isn't Dynasty Warriors it's Dynasty Warriors Xtreme or Dynasty Warriors Empires and even Samurai Warriors has an Empires game. I enjoy the games but damn if they don't milk it like EA does on their franchises.
The ugly: Pretty much unrelated but Jesus was that Gundam Warriors a horrible game. I know not everyone's gonna agree but I've tried every Dynasty engine game and this one was just unplayable to me. I don't like "3D space" in my beat-em-ups, I've learned.
Anyway, if you haven't tried Warriors Orochi yet, I highly recommend it. And seeing how Dynasty Warriors 6 really beefed up the graphics engine, I'll bet it's going to be the best Dynasty engine game yet.

Heh heh. Completely biased opinion here, but I think the graphics engine is the only good thing DW6 has going for it. Words can't adequately describe my antipathy toward the changes to the gameplay and its characters' presentation (Giving Xiahou Dun and Cao Pi the same haircut you see on every scene kid instead of keeping their long hair? Turning Gan Ning into an anime sky pirate instead of a rough-and-tumble tatooed barbarian? Giving Zhou Yu a quarterstaff instead of his sword? Taking away his Sky Scorcher and giving Lu Bu a ****ing PINWHEEL for a weapon?!), alongside the culling of the roster and the reduction to 17 Musou modes and nearly 30 characters who are nothing but clones of other characters' movesets, and you have everything I DIDN'T want to see changed.
That said, there are a few minor details I enjoyed, such as the redesign for Sima Yi and other characters. I hate the renbu combat system, I hate the way items and powers are unlocked and discovered, and I'm giving serious consideration to dropping out of the series after WO2 hits American shores because of all the horrendous changes Koei and W-Omega Force made to my beloved games. :(
I definitely agree that the Warriors Orochi efforts are Koei at their best. I loved the subtle-yet-profound additions and changes they made to character movesets and the way they give certain characters the spotlight for a change (Huang Gai, Magoichi, Sun Ce, etc.) instead of focusing SOLELY on Zhao Yun, Liu Bei, Cao Cao, that worthless fraud Zhuge Liang, and Lu Bu.
