If you are going to put it on Ebay, or someone makes you an offer. Please let me know.
In case you forgot, I bought some protos off you recently.

If you put it on ebay they will cancel the auction on you and probably send you a warning. They do not take kindly to prototype sales (although they used to years ago) and apparently it is considered a violation of the whole pirate/modchip/etc rule that they have in place which I think is rediculous. Just a heads up, and good luck with the sale.

Thanks Zektor,
I think your right, but i think its how you word the auction as well, since i have seen a few proto snes auctions over the last month and they have ended normally.
But thanks again for the heads up!

I've been suspended for selling protos on eBay EVEN if you word it correctly. I honestly say most of the times it's because people report the auction.

And yet I still see people selling bootleg copies of Half-Life for the Dreamcast. Go figure.

I know, ebay is just to busy extracting cash from ebayers to catch most of the bootleg stuff, thats pretty much the reason why i was selling it here, plus i'd prefer if some here on DP got it.
I always say to the people that will listen, if a dot com auction company sprung up with no listing fee's and just charged a percentage fee of the Final price, they could give ebay a run for there money.
Its not something that would happen over night, ebay has taken 10 years to get where they are now, but damn! You pay a listing fee, you get charged a Final sale percentage fee, then when you recieve payment paypal/ebay take more money.
I'v pretty much given up on ebay, i do use it, but its to get the odd xbox game here and there..
But back to the matter at hand, are any of you guys looking or interested in my proto, all offers are considered?! And i'm not expecting $700, so don't let that scare you off! \\^_^/
Make me an offer, free postage any where around the world..

$301. :)
Why are prototypes not allowed on ebay? They are not bootlegs or pirated copies, so what is the reason behind the restriction?
I have seen prototypes on ebay, and never thought there was anything wrong with that.

Hey man, if I had the cash to spare, I'd buy this. FF:MQ was the first RPG I played and beat, so there's a bit of emotional attachment there.
I do wish you good luck with this. :)
Edit:
Bibliophile: Prototypes fall into the same category as beta software (which is also not allowed on eBay.)

So how does this prototype differ from the final? Is it the never-before-seen version that's actually fun?

Are hardware prototypes allowed? I remember you sold your prototype Bandai Pippin Atmark on ebay a while back. Is that okay?

My hardware setup was basically final; it just hadn't been approved by the FCC when it was made. I made that clear in the listing, so I guess that's why it was left alone.
That and I doubt Bandai cares about the Atmark these days.
