So I played this game when I was a kid ... NES or Gameboy(maybe something else, I barely remember)

You were a paper airplane and flew around rooms, you had to go over vents to get higher in the air. I recall enjoying this game a lot and would like to find it again!

Sounds like the old Mac game Glider. I didn't know there was a console version of it.

I think Brian is right... There is an NES homebrew game called Glider, that is based on the old Mac game, which comes on a flashable cart..

BTW, Glider Pro and Glider 4.0 for Mac OS 9 and OSX became freeware when Cassidy and Greene went bankrupt and the game's creator, John Calhoun, got the rights back.
