I was on a flight from San Jose to Los Angeles (a week ago) and was talking to a guy in the business class line Southwest line before boarding. Then we boarded and we each had an aisle seet towards the front of the jet. Then another guy sat down next to him in the window seat in front of me.
While we were sitting there waiting to pull back from the gate these two guys wip out there DS's and I was peering over the seats. Low and behold they were playing GH. Come to find out they were both producers (they worked for Activision) on the game and let me play it.
They indicated it would have 27 songs total. It comes with the plug in fret keys (4 of them not 5 like on the guitar) and a adjustable hand strap. Then you hold this the DS like a book. The Fret controller has customizable skins just like the guitar did. You strum on the right side w/ a pick stylus which conveniently stores inside the fret controller.
I notice the fret buttons were a bit close together for me as an adult w/ bigger hands, but it didn't feel to bad. I played for about 30 minutes. The developer card I was playing also had the new James Bond Game and also the new Call of Duty on it.
The Fret controller was very high quality feeling and looked plain cool. Everyone sitting around us, even the "older" grandparent type people were wondering what we were all playing.
My first impressions was it was pretty sweet! They are going to sell assloads of these !
