Hello, I just wanted to give a heads up to people who don't know. I was looking for Wii Fit all weekend but everywhere is sold out and I wasn't going to pay almost double the price to get it off ebay or amazon. When I went into Blockbuster this afternoon they had about 10 copies for sale. Maybe people aren't thinking to check Blockbuster to buy the game, I don't know.

Yeah my sister finally got one at Wal-Mart earlier. It's actually pretty fun.

Thank you for reminding me that blockbuster doesn't totally suck. ;) I finally found a Wii Fit. My life/well-being is no longer being threatened by the wife for not pre-ordering. LOL

For anybody in Canada, Shopper's Drug Mart stores have had Wii Fit in stock. It's a good place to check that most wouldn't consider.

Gamestops in small hick towns tend to have it ....wonder why that is ;)
I ordered mine on Amazon, but when I was home visiting my parents for Memorial Day I was at a GS in a hick town and they had plenty....

Nintendo is allegedly favoring the European market over the US market for currency concerns regarding the distribution of Wii Fit? Weak if true:

Well, Nintendo likes investing in currency and the USD has given them a shiner or two as of late. Honestly, who can blame a company for trying to increase profits? As long as it's not through any nefarious means of course. :p
I'm seeing these things in Houston area Craigslist's going for $130-$200. Insane. Haven't checked the eBay listings, I figure, we got ours so why bother?

Wii Fit is currently selling for between $182 and $249 used and new on Amazon.com:
Amazon - Wii Fit (http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B000VJRU44/ref=dp_olp_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1213085195&sr=8-1)
I've been checking various Best Buy, Circuit City, and Virgin stores for the past couple of weeks and they're always sold out. Likewise for Nintendo World. I'll check the Blockbuster up the street tomorrow, but I don't have high hopes.
EDIT: It's also worth mentioning the Wii console is currently selling for between $320 and $353 new and used on Amazon.com:

I can't believe the price is still this crazy after almost 19 months.

I guess this is what they mean when they say that everyone and their mother wants one, literally. That's the only logical explanation I can think of these days, Nintendo has created a product that has demand from people ages 7-77. However, combined with this currency news, I can see why they have no extreme rush to fill the demand for the Wii Fit AND the Wii itself. In their eyes, the US market will always be here, so why not wait for the USD to get stronger before investing more heavily again?
