I played this game that I enjoyed playing at my cousin's house overseas, however, I don't know the English name of it.
It's on one of the older Nintendo consoles, and is a 2D platform shooting game that can have up to two players simultaneously.
Here's the bosses that I remember:
- Boss 1: Mechanical turtle. 2D platform stage.
- Boss 2: Giant spider with a red eye (I think it was an eye). This level is laid out like a map and you play from a bird's eye view.
- Boss 3: Forgotten, sorry. 2D platform stage.
- Boss 4: Circular-dome thing with an eye up the top. This level is also laid out like a map and you play from a bird's eye view.

- Penultimate Boss: I think this was the second last boss. It's this robot with a small body, but with very long legs that runs forwards towards you then jumps back and fires missiles at you.
- Final Boss: This one I remember best. It's a brain with one eye that can attack differently by choosing one of six (or eight, but I'm sure it's an even number) "orb-like" things such as boulders, assembling two legs made of a a type of "orb" to stomp you with. After you defeat the brain in this form, and your rescue helicopter comes to take to the surface, the brain gets encased by a metal suit with claws, and it chases after you as you hang off the helicopter. After you shoot it to death, the game finishes.
Does anyone know which game I'm talking about? Sorry about the vague description, but that's all I remember.
