Figured some people might be interested in this. I've posted complete scans of EGM #3 here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=GIDQS3CE :)

The scans are RAW, (totally uncropped, unrotated, etc.), but I think someone out there will eventually fix em up and put them in pdf format or whatever. But check em out now if you like. If you miss the upload (I think megaupload only lasts for a short time), you should be able to get the magazine at retromags.com soon enough.

Some people hate EGM's reviews (from that time period specifically), but I personally like them a lot. Yeah it wasn't very in-depth but the layout was just simple and nice. At first glance you can see the big score over the text. 1994's review format was my favorite though. I still flip through them just to remember the 'good old days.'

Today's EGM review style is bleh :p

Thanks for the scan, mate :)

He was big time back then I remember that Issue. He was on every thing from milk cartons to candy bars.LOL What was egm called before EGM. Great stuff I forgot they wrote the review grade over the article. Man it must be nice to sit back and reminisce. I could do that all day.

I got that issue new and still have it. That's when EGM was still good. I really miss the Steve Harris/Ed Semrad/Don Neuart days. :(

Still got my copy I bought in 1989 sitting right here on my shelf!

Glad I kept those early issues. I honestly thought the industry was gonna crash (several times) over the years, and all the magazines would disappear again like they did in the early 80's - but again, that was almost 20 years ago. SO glad I was wrong!

I think I also have the next issue with Ghouls N' Ghosts on the cover, if you need it scanned. But I'll warn you now, it's pretty dog-eared..

And that picture of Fabio never fails to crack me up.

I approve of this message in its entirety! I haven't kept my entire library of gaming magazines (not enough room!) but I kept a "Best of" selection from the various mags I bought back in the day. Included: EGM 1994: Jan, Feb, Apr, Oct, and Nov.

I, too, quite often still read through these mags to this day -- and often realize that alot of the retro games I'm looking for today were games I'd read about some 15-20 years ago but couldn't afford (or were imports). Ah how nostalgia owns me

Thanks for this! The Wizards & Warriors games are some of my all-time favorites on the NES. I really wish Rare would make a new one, but the chances of that happening are pretty much zero.
