I usually go for 5 or 6 NES games every weekend. What about you guys?

EDIT: I'm talking about retro games, but you can include new games too.

It used to be 1-3 on average.

But now it's down to none. I've hit a rut.

I come and go in stints. For a long time it'll be none-to-two per week (typically none), then I'll get the bug. This weekend I got five and my wife got one. Last week I ordered a bunch of 3DO stuff from eBay and am waiting for it to come in.

If "new" means new in the store, none. If you count stuff on ebay then it probably averages out to 1 or 2 a week now becuase I'm going after newer stuff like 360 or DS. If i'm doing retro it's more like 10-30.

When I was working at a game store I'd be buying an average of one new release per week, during the holidays more like 2 to 3. I would also be buying on average 5 used games a week (either stuff that came in or stuff I gave customers cash for before they could trade it in). I would also buy at least 1 classic game per week.

Of course there were weeks when I'd spend $1000+ a week on ebay game impulse buys.

THANKFULLY that was only from 2003-2007. Now I buy maybe one game a month. June I'll be picking up 3 (ninja gaiden 2, guitar hero aerosmith and metal gear solid 4).

I wonder what you mean by new. Usually I buy 0-2 new games a week. Used games very by where I'm at. I've been trying to save money, but I'm not very good at it...

I hardly ever buy new games anymore. According to my log, the last new game I bought was Donkey Kong-e for the e-reader in April.

As for game acquisitions in general, it varies from 2-10 games a week, depending on how much money I have to burn and how often I visit thrifts/game stores/etc throughout the week.

Oh shit, was this thread about new-new games or new-to-me games? I took it as the latter.

New old stock? I thought the e-Reader was dead and buried.

For myself, I don't get games weekly, it's probably more akin to monthly or bi-monthly.

My latest purchase included a like-new copy of Bionic Commando for the Game Boy, box and all - import version too. Got Ninja Ryu- (Gaiden) in great shape as well.

Not very often, I usually buy used. Sometimes like this past week I'll buy 3-4 new games on sale and be set for quite sometime.

Well since we don't know exactly what this thread is talking about I'll answer both possibilities.

New-New Games... 1-2 per month on average, but it varies a lot per month.

New games to me... Well probably about the same 1-2 per month. Though together I would have 2-4/month.

If I didn't feel bad about buying games that I don't really really want it would be much more. It would also help if I didn't have a backlog of around 40 games...

It is, but a few of the GameStops around here still have some e-reader cards collecting dust at $2.99 each (mostly Baseball-e and Tennis-e). Donkey Kong-e was the last one I spotted that I felt was worth that much.

Anywhere from 1-300 for me I guess. Last week I had boxes covering my bedroom, filled with about 275 CIB games, plus an additional 150 empty boxes.
But that was an exception. ;)

Per week is too short of a time frame (for me). I'll say 0 to 3 a month.

A week is too short. It is usually 0 to 4 games a month for me. It is up to what time of year is and if there is a good sale on games.

That depends on where and when.

I have a completion list like anybody else and I have certain tools that allows me to aviod getting these items for the sake of sharing and good will but then
again

0-4 It depends like last week I missed a Vtech

At the beginning of the month, probably 10 or so. By the end, maybe one game or so. Most of my funds recently, however, have been going toward gaming magazines. I very rarely buy brand new games at full price ($50+) and usually can wait till they go greatest hits (but I do make exceptions on certain first-party Nintendo stuff and the Guitar Hero series).

It all depends on how the retro gaming gods are treating me.
Some weeks it's zero others it could be up to 20.

As far as Retro games, it all depends on how generous the Yard sales, Thrift stores, and Goodwills are. New games, less then one a week on average.

Mine varies.
Pretty much whenever I get money, I get games :p

Not very many these past few months, since I'm rather broke. I will be picking up Ninja Gaiden II this week and MGS 4 next week, though. :)

Hmm...it could be anywhere from 1 to 15, all depending on where I'm shopping at. If it's a big video game clearance sale than I might even get more than that.

two to three games every two weeks. Sometimes alot more, sometimes zero. After 15 years, it really starts to add up. (most I got in a month was like 400).

I am currently adding 3 a week.

New games are something I rarely buy. I'm not even current gen yet. As for new to me games it can vary. I from time to time get the "classic plastic" deal at GameCrazy which is 5 games for $5. When it comes to last gen consoles I might get a game a week, sometimes more if they are cheap. You can get some real solid titles for under $5 for Xbox and PS2. Gamecube though is still to this day a bit spendier of a console to collect for.
