hello there fellow gamers I have a crisis that must be answered! I have an extensive collection of old and new stuff and such great games that require light guns do not work on HD Flat screen TVs. Now I do have a regular TV they will work on but I do not have the room to hook up a regular TV in my living room(Curse The Girlfriend). Is there something in the works or something I can do to make a light gun work on these TVs?

Sorry, but there's no way. You need to use a CRT.

You can try something like this...but its only good for PS2 and XBOX. I don't have any first hand usage of this...says it's good on all tv's though.

All you need is an extensive knowledge of engineering and you could modify all your old systems to use a central tracking system ala the wiimote, and super scope that track a predefined (usually ir) point placed in reference points to the tv. failing that .... hook up the old crt based tv somewhere else and use it for light gun games?

I would think that wouldn't work either, even if what you said could be done, you'd need to reprogram the game to utilize it.

or have it feed identical output to the game which would of course involve adding a stage where you process the data before outputting it to the game.

That's not the complete answer, unfortunately. I have an HD RP-CRT, and it has the same problem. It has to be an SD CRT.

I agree - it has to be SD CRT. I have a Sony HD-Ready CRT and light guns do not work on it.
