Received my first actual import from ebay today- a complete Sin & Punishment with adapter. Problem is it doesn't seem to be working. The adapter is the Super 64. I think it just needs a cleaning myself...

If you get that green screen that means the game is not being read and the slot
is somewhat damaged.

I am not telling you to mess with your converter, I am just telling you what happens with mine from time to time. Basically from me hitting the game inserted making the thing shift. I could practically pull the converter apart with my bare hands.

I am also guessing this is the one that has no safety and your N64 cart is out in the open with no protection. What is even worst thing is that if you ever insert a SNES game into it....which I found out the hard way:bawling:

Some idiot who reads this is going insert a SNES game into there N64 via converter to see what happens

Ya know, that might make a good "DP urban myth" edition after the cart blowing one.

Now which slot would possibly be damaged? my other N64 titles work fine.

Here's a pic of the adapter if that helps:

If you happen to have an old gameshark lying around that ought to the job just fine.

I got it going now! This game is more fun to play on the system then via an emulator!!

VC my behind. Nothing and nothing will ever outclass the original. No PPC and handheld at all. Yes you there dining on impulsive actions to buy data when you could have download it for free.

$30 on ebay, that's for a complete copy of S&P with the adapter and including shipping. I also printed out screenshots from a translation of the rom for the menu screen along with that part from a faq so I can figure the menus out.

okay this is a shooter adventure. It even has a demo, so there is no need to waste paper.

The VC download will be cheaper, and unless you REALLY like the game you'll probably be long done playing it before your Wii croaks and you lose the game.

Anyhow, I was able to figure out the menus emulating the game. Just do the ol' trial and error routine.

There are some quirks to the control setup though.

I have a N64 and not the Wii, so I went for the verson I want to play. That is what matters.

Agreed. If you get stuck in the game, feel free to ask...I need an excuse to go play it again sometime :P

(yeah, my gaming backlog is pretty huge)

I'm amazed no one has mentioned the obvious: just chop the tabs inside the console cartridge slot out... bingo, problem solved!
