What the heck is wrong with the title screen on Mega Man 3? In the NES version there is nothing but black on the right, but in the Mega Man Anniversary Collection it has a picture of Mega Man on the right. Is this like that on all the NES versions of it, or just mine?

I believe they added the mega man image on the right in the anniversary collection.

MMAC are the JAPANESE versions. They also redid the ingame text for the games, so the lines appear the same, but differently displayed.

So in short, nothing's wrong with your copy of MM3.

That's a relief. I was kind of worried because I thought I paid $8 for a broken game.

Yes, it works fine. I'm at the end of the game.

OK...then why on earth would you call it "broken" just because a little image of mega man doesn't appear at the beginning? the game itself is fine

Because when I got the game some of the graphics were missing in the game, everything was jumbled up, and it kept freezing before I cleaned it. So when I turned it on again and saw no Mega Man (usued to playing the AC version) I thought my copy was messing up still.

Since Megaman AC uses the Japanese versions, it's worth noting that Megaman 6 actually has completely different introduction music than the original NES copy.

Back in the day, Nintendo themselves published just Megaman 6 in North America, so perhaps it was they who redid the music, for whatever reason.
