Thinking of building one of these (not sure how fancy I want to get) but would like to see others works I know they're out there

Me too, my plan is to have 4 DCs inside (already have 3) and have dedicated controllers for each one: pads/wheel/lightguns/fishing rod. Then the user will push one of four buttons for selection. (Soul Calibur, Hydro Thunder, HotD2, Marine Fishing should all be fun at parties).
My problem now is whether to build a cab from scratch or cannabilize something common and unpopular. If I build, then I'll probably use a 21 inch CRT pc monitor which will be huge, but using an LCD means no lightguns.
OTOH buying an existing cab means the pain of mounting a DC wheel, gun holsters, and control pad storage corrals, space could get tight.
One reason I'm doing this is to complement my Mame cab that will be next to it. It's got a SF2 joystick and button config, so I wan't something with different controller types.
Superauctions is coming to San Jose in three weeks, maybe I'll find something that will work.

Use a Naomi Universal or Astro City and craft some custom panels that are easily swappable. Problem solved :P
