I have looked over both of these sites for keeping track of your collection and I don't know whitch is better.

RF Generation seems more leaned towards collectors but IGN has alot of useful links to FAQ's and stuff.

So which one is more useful in the long run?:help:

RF Generation. No question imho. The database/collection tools in RF are far superior, and they are excellent at adding new submissions on a timely basis. They run a great service.

And, most of my collection is listed there :)

I use IGN and like it. They have all of my games listed, except for the Game Gear version of Frank Thomas Big Hurt Baseball which they still haven't added to the database, despite my three e-mails. @_@

IGN is a joke.

If you have to have your collection online, I recommend RF Generation or VG Rebirth.

I'm all for VGRebirth

though it does need work on some of the more obscure/old systems

(i'm slowly but surely adding atari 400/800/xl games)

I agree that IGN is a joke. If I hadn't made my own lists (the link's in my sig), I'd use RF Generation.

I have lists on my website but I also keep track of it at RFGeneration. Not sure why, I may be partially nuts. ;)

I miss the old IGN collection pages before they changed it, I used to love looking at other peoples collections. Since they changed it a couple(2-3) years ago I moved on to RF Gen and don't regret it one bit.

Another vote for RF Generation from me. I really love it there, anyone can submit new photos and additions to the database and if approved, they are usually added within a couple hours. They even have a contest going on now where you can win $100 by submitting stuff.

Never hurts to have a backup in case something unforeseen happens.

I'd avoid IGN like the plague.

My collection is almost non-existant now but I'd go RF Generation/VG Rebirth.

I used to keep tabs on my collection at GameTZ...my page is probably still up there, haven't fooled around with it in a long while.

It has gotten to be a pain in the ass to go around and get X68000 added to various sites, and then tell people that Undead Line is two words, not one...

RF Generation is cool.

Right now I'm moving everything from IGN to RF Generation. I like being able to "fine tune" my collection concerning boxes, and instructions.
I like how RF works. They are made up of people who really love gaming. IGN just seems like they don't care very much.

Easily RFgeneration, I was completely lost without it when it went down temporarily like a week ago. Bar none the best so far IMHO. I'm eagerly waiting for the nintendoage collection tool though...
