I bought this one (http://www.play-asia.com/SOap-23-83-2l1x-71-9g-49-en-15-Oshare+Majo+Love+-84-j-70-1i9b.html)
Its a part of this set and plays japanese cards.
there must be a few NES games & early arcade games for this reader,
but i cannot find anything in the www or ebay :-

Currently only 2 (maybe 3, i'm not seeing much on Dinosaur King, though i'm sure they've got one w/ the reader by now) games work with the card reader that I know of, Mushiking Super Collection and the Love & Berry game you bought.

The point of the card reader is that it will let you take the game cards you get from the Mushiking and Love & Berry Arcade games (the cards give you different abilities in the game, in Love & Berry its outfits, shoes, hairstyles ect, in Mushiking its beetles you use to fight against other human (or computer) players and fighting moves to make the beetles attacks more powerful) and bring them into the DS game for you to get to use.

I'm a HUGE Mushiking fan, but finding cards on ebay are next to impossible. I'm sure Love & Berry has the same problem.

Thank you, i think this buy will be a "dead body in my collection" ^-^
The guy in the userreview has the same problem, he writes that yahoo auctions will be the only chance for these cards.. have you some infos about the arcade games, i do not understand, why there are cards included, as a kind of prize or something ?

The arcade game when played will give you one card a 'credit'. The card is given to you before you play the game so you can use it in your game if its something thats better than the default (which by definition it almost always is). The more you play the more cards you get. Once you've done that you can in theory start to trade them with others who play with you in the arcades to get cards you don't have and ones you think are cool.

Here in the US Mushiking, Dinosaur King and Love & Berry are all exclusively in GameWorks arcade centers (GameWorks is owned by Sega Amusements). I've seen that they've released 'action' figures of sorts in Eurpoe for Mushiking (as the boxes are in spanish) and those do come with cards, however those cards arn't compatable with Love & Berry.

I've only played Love & Berry like twice and the whole point of that is to dress up for a party and then once at the party you dance (by pushing some buttons in time with the screen) and hope to win the contest. Play time is about 5 minutes a 'game'.

I've played Mushiking through all 3 major arcade board revisions available to the US players (i've been playing since it showed up Stateside in 05). I've got cards from the last 4 card series, though none of my sets are complete. Gametime will depend on how well you do in battle. Battling beetles are done in a Paper-Scissor-Rock manner, where you need to pay attention to the kind of beetle it is, and what just happened in the last move. That will dictate how the computer will make its next move. You battle till one beetle runs out of health. If you're good you'll play through 4 battles where the story will play out and you'll get a code that you can use to access the official website to get exclusive content.
