Hello everybody, I'm trying to find out the name of a PS1 game I used to have and could use some help. The game was a sidescrolling run-n-gun type game similar to Contra. I don't remember a whole lot about it except it went left to right and the screen might have changed angles during play.

I know that's pretty vague but hopefully someone can help me out. Thanks in advance.

Was it perhaps "One"?

I'm pretty sure it was "One" as well, I love that game, it kicks much ass. Cosmicpsycho, do you remember if the character was shooting with a cybernetic arm?

The hardest part about One was the first damn stage. After that it all felt like a cakewalk. :(

roushimsx - I'm glad you said that. I don't think I ever figured my way through the first stage. I think something blocked my way, and I never could figure my way past!

Hooray for One!

I still have so much promo crap from the launch party. You know that game sold like MAD in Japan?

Also, best plot ever.

Would it be Strider 2?
That was sidescroller and kinda angled. :)
I don't remember if there were any shooting, though.

There's always Gunners Heaven (aka Rapid Reload.)

It was One, I just watched a vdeo of the gameplay on youtube. It's really quite different then I remembered, but still a pretty cool game. Thanks for all the help.

I still haven't picked up One, and my copy of C: The Contra Adventure sits unopened >D
