I help with Rick with this show, this one is going to be better all around. Also, I intend to help run an N64 tourney with some fun added. I look forward to this show being a good one, with lots of great deals as usual. For anyone who wants to go to a great show in the Northwest, this video game show is a hard one to beat.

Awesome, thanks for keeping us up to date, Rick.
I'll definitely be there, and hopefully manage to bring some friends/family again.
Have you started advertising yet, and if you need some help, let me know.
Also, I'd like to take this opportunity to issue a challenge to all people participating in NWCGE Portland '08:
I, Matt Antonellis, challenge anyone to beat me in the NES tournament this year.
In Seattle at Jet City Retro, I went undefeated, and boasted a final score of 197,000 in the finals (Nintendo World Championship '90 cart).
If you're considering participating in this year's NES tournament, you'll need to practice. ;)
If I can find a suitable trophy/prize, I'll offer it up to whomever takes the title from me.

I'll definitely be there, and I'll probably be bringing some friends along.
I've attended the past two NWCGE shows held in the Portland area (2K7 and 2K6-Vancouver). I had fun, met some nice people, and got some great deals, and I'm looking forward to doing it again!
(I wonder if John and I will wind up wearing Donkey Kong shirts on the same day again...)

You are one of the nicest people on these boards, and I appreciate your kind words. You are always welcome at our shows, and as usual, we will have some serious deals. I look forward to helping put on the N64 tourney...as I thought we could mix it up this year. We will hold our Atari 2600 tourney as usual...
as for Matt Antonellis, we could use any advertising help that we could get...:)

Crap, there goes my winning streak. I suck at Smash Bros., Mario Kart, GoldenEye, and any other competitive N64 games.
However, I still challenge anyone to beat my score on the Nintendo World Championship '90 cart. I've been practicing and managed to bump my score up to 263,000.

Thanks John! :) I like the idea of an N64 tournament, hopefully it'll include one or more of the system's superb racing titles. Hopefully I'll do better in the N64 tournament than I did in the Goldeneye tournament at NWCGE 2K6 Vancouver (I fell behind pretty quickly in the first round, but had fun trying to make a comeback).

Saturday night screening with Bill Carlton after? Sweet! I'm excited. This year should be great. I hope I can make it.

Oh, and we checked TG records at Jet City Retro this year, and there was no record in their database as of yet. I'm thinking I'll be the first person to submit one. ;)
Unfortunately I haven't been able to do this as of yet because whenever I try to access the site, it's either horribly laggy, exceeded monthly bandwidth, or some such.

Man-oh-man, I wish I had found out about this expo a few years ago! Anyway, I'm reaaaaally looking forward to going! One question: is there a lot 'free play' going on? Meaning, will there be lots of consoles hooked up for people to play? Do we bring our own? What's up?

That said, I am putting out an open challenge to anybody and everybody at SF2 Turbo and NBA Jam on the SNES. I truly feel like I am nigh unbeatable at these games; it's time to find out.

Some specific things off the top of my head:
-Dreamcast VMU's
-An NES Advantage
-An SNES Game Genie codebook
-Sega and Nintendo memorabilia, kids' meal toys, figures, promo items, etc.
-NES, SNES and Genesis game posters
-e-reader cards - such as Mario 3 cards, NES game cards I don't own (you can see a list of what I have here (http://www.freewebs.com/jkwh/ereaderlist.html)), and possibly Air Hockey-e
-Possibly a Master System and some games
-Possibly a model 2 SNES
Other than that, my NWCGE hauls always consist of some NES, SNES, N64, PS1, Game Boy, GBC, and GBA games. I'll also be looking to get some Game Gear and Dreamcast games, and I'm open to getting some PS2, Gamecube, and DS games as well.
I don't have much for trade bait, but I do have a few extra manuals (mostly PS1, PS2, and DC). If anyone's interested, let me know and I can PM you a list and/or bring them along.

I am looking for a Neo Geo AES Power supply if any one has one. Even if you just have one you don't want to sell if you could bring it to the show so I could try out my Neo Geo to see if it works. Also looking for a power supply for a Atari 600xl and an Amiga mouse.
Here is a stuff that I can think of that I will be bringing:
Atari-
VCS systems and cartridges (the only semi rare game I have is muppits pigs in space)
Lynx systems and a couple of games
800 computer and various acc and software and a few cartridges
Nintendo-
Nes boxed power set
Boxed Famicom and a couple famicom games
Toasters and lots of toaster games
Top loader NES2
More Toasters
Red Game Boy
Game Boy Pocket
Game Boy Advanced
SNES, snes games and super famicom games
Boxed Virtual boy
N64's (green, smoke, gold) and N64 games
Sega-
Master System I & II and games
Game Gear and games
Boxed Genesis I
Genesis I, II, & III and games
Sega CD I & II
Saturn & games
Dreamcast and Games
Commodore-
c64 & drive
Boxed Amiga 500
Tandy TRS-80 (model II?) with boxed mouse & boxed tape drive & cartridges
3do and a few games
That's all I can think of off the top of my head right now. I might also bring an Xbox or Xbox 360 or both or niether.
And I will have some sort of contest at my booth. I just havn't figured out what it will be yet.

I'm rocking a double booth this time. Woo-hoo!
Here are some highlights of what I'll have available:
CONSOLES:
N64 consoles in various colors
Complete Dreamcast consoles with VMUs
Philips CD-i deck with remote and a bunch of games
3DO system
Somehow I ended up with a BUNCH of Atari Flashback 2 systems so I'll have those CHEAP
Tons of Gameboys, from the original to the Advance SP
Sega Genesis 2 in box, never used
N64 boxed
4 (!) Sega Nomads
Several Sega Saturn systems
ACCESSORIES
Tons of parts and accessories for all systems. Memory paks, VMUs, video adapters, ac adapters, etc.
2 Genesis controllers custom-modded (by me) for use with the Vectrex
Many top-grade controllers for most systems
Many unique and rare controllers - some in original boxes
GAMES:
I'll have most systems covered, but especially stocked up on N64, SNES, Gamecube, PS1 & PS2. I also have a TON of Gameboy and Game Gear carts.
THE BOOTH
I'll have several games set up to play and several screens for testing systems. I will have a contest both days - I think Saturday's contest will be Atari 2600 Tank Pong. It will be a bracketed tournament with sign-ups throughout the morning.
I found an awesome display shelf and mounted two Gamecube LCD screens on the top. They will be playing a 2 hour loop of old video game commercials and game play that I created from downloaded Youtube videos.
I know there is a ton more, but that's all I can think of right now.

I told Chuck that I'd throw in a good word for him, and now seems like a good time. Over the past couple years of the Portland-area show's run, Recycled Gamer has offered some great stuff, and Chuck and his staff are extremely nice. I doubt anybody needs my recommendation to check out the Recycled Gamer booth, but here it is.
*blushing* Aw shucks. ;-)
"My staff". Hehe. You probably mean Ken who comes out to help me with the game conventions. He might look scary ;-) , but he's a super-nice and friendly and has a ton of classic game knowledge. I don't have a regular store or anything like some of the other vendors, but sometimes I wish I did so I could hire him full-time. I know Ken is looking for an R4DS or similar DS backup cartridge if anyone will have one at the show.
I should have those N64 controller paks you are looking for.
To add to the list of stuff I am bringing, I have a nearly complete set of Nintendo Power magazines from 1989 to 1997. I also came across two complete Sega CD systems recently that I will try to have cleaned and ready for the show. So much to do - so little time. ;-)

Which version of sega cd?
Total, I think I will have the following at the show:
1 Sega CD toploader with Gen 1 Genesis console
2 Sega CD toploaders with Gen 2 Genesis consoles
1 JVC X'Eye Sega CD/Genesis system
No front loaders at this time. :-(

I am always looking for N64 and Genesis manauls, as well as various rare and uncommon stuff from the following systems
Neo Geo Pocket
7800
5200
intellivision
Coloecovision
Laseractive controllers
homebrews
2600 uncommons
TG-16 stuff
I look forward to finding stuff to add to the room of doom. Honestly our show rivals any other bigger show for just sheer product to buy. Lots of uncommon systems, really good prices. We expect to really have a great turnout this year. This is only our third show in the area, so I expect it be our best one yet. This year has been such a team effort, with alot of extra help for our vendors and volunteers. I know that me and Rick appreicate the extra help :)

Another addition to the want list: Original model DS styluses. Doesn't matter if they're new or used (I'd be sure to clean any used ones before they went into rotation).
