Just a brief survey to see what General RetroGaming websites you guys visit. Been out of the circle for a while and thought this could be useful for me to get back into the game :-D

Our "sister site", www.vidgame.net is webmistressed by our very own Adrienne "Achika" Barr.
We love Earl's www.thelogbook.com.
AtariAge.com is a wonderful resource. Good database of everything Atari.
classicgaming.com covers pretty much everything that is classic, and does a good job of it.

I'll let others take over from here, but these are the sites that I frequent because they're consistently informative and entertaining, though there are many others.

I tend to keep away from Classicgaming.com because of all of the ads and popups.

You might want to give us a look at Fatman Games. We do reviews, maintain fairly extensive databases for a ton of systems, have pics, info, etc. You can set up your entire game collection there too in an easy to modify format.

FYI BenT: I may not have said it recently (or at all) but I think you're a fantastic writer. Anytime you've posted one of your reviews for us to read here I read it, and I always come away feeling like I've learned something. That's a rare talent. Keep up the great work!

I can deal with the banner ads. Even a popup every now and then is tolerable. It's the large, flash ads spawn out of nowheres and cover the entire screen that encourages me never to return.

Guess which ones are worth the most to advertisers? :/ But, oddly enough, we just introduced a new ad-free service today. I can't moan about Game Spy and specifically Classic Gaming, they've both been excellent for hosting "The Black Moon Project" and BenT smoothed the way for it to happen. A very helpful guy who I can't thank enough :-D

Keep the list of General RetroGaming sites coming, I need to know which websites to send my News Bulletin to for a major article that will be published very soon. Which should be of interest to you lot even if it is on the Philips CD-i platform!!

Don't forget The Gameroom Blitz (http://grblitz.overclocked.org)! It's not strictly a retrogaming site, but there's plenty of classic gaming coverage because I'm more interested in the older systems than the newer ones.
