I've had that happen to me before, it's a problem with usps. It will say that right up until I get my package. In fact, it seems to do that more then work correctly.
Also, take down that guy's address, that's not cool.

I hope it's USPS problem and not a rip off. Because that was actually a second shipping effort from this seller. At first he shipped it first class and it almost ended in CANADA (wtf!?!) USPS told him they messed the customs forms and returned game to him. So he had to ship it second time.

USPS online tracking always does that. The online tracking with UPS however is awesome.

Yeah, that's what you see when the seller prints shipping at home but never actually ships, or when the package gets into the mail stream without being scanned at ALL. Obviously the latter is more likely, which sucks. If it were scanned on the receiving or delivery end, you'd see a different screen. It is very strange that this happened twice, so maybe he is trying to scam you. Who knows.

If he shipped it airmail of priority mail international tracking is very hit or miss and many times will not show anything even when delivered.
I would also wait a little while longer as regular mail can take a long time to show up sometimes, which you probably already know.
Ask him to send a high rez scan of his usps receipt and/or his half of the customs form. If he shows them to you, he most likely sent it with good intentions and the mail lost it or it wasnt addressed correctly. If he does send them post the pic here as we know what they should look like.
If he doesnt have any sort of proof, file a claim with paypal and get your money back.

I have asked the workers at my local post office about this situation in the past. They told me that the service is called "Delivery Confirmation", not tracking, or anything like that, so the only information that may ever show up is the fact that it was delivered.

gum_drops & JY: The tracking number is for EMS (Express Mail - aka overnight) shipping, not airmail shipping or delivery confirmation. This should only have taken 4-5 days to arrive, even to Russia.
Asking for a scan of the ring-dated customs form would work, because if he sent it EMS, he would have had to fill out the long form, not the short green one.

There is no such thing as "Priority Tracking" through the USPS. Priority is a method of mailing, not something trackable. Whenever you're given a tracking code in the form of "XX ### ### ### XX" it's EMS shipping. Delivery/Signature Confirmation has 25+ digits, and Registered Mail is in the form close to "RR #########." Nothing else the post office offers is trackable online.
Regardless, that's a very unhelpful email response you got from usps.com. He didn't tell you anything you didn't know from looking up the tracking number yourself.

EMS tracking begins with "EB"
Since it starts with "CJ", I think you were given a customs form number, which offers very limited trackability.

Its kind of hit or miss with tracking once it leaves the USA. USPS.COM listed it as "tracking to major destinations". I have never been sure what places are considered major destinations and which are not.
If he sent your items in a flate-rate envelope that could be another reason they did not show up on the site as trackable.
Priority Mail International: "Track your shipment online. Note: Tracking is not available for Priority Mail International Flat-Rate envelope."
I have noticed this in the past, as packages sent PMI would be trackable but never the flaterate envelopes, I must of missed that little blurb at the bottom.

shit...
The seller disappeared.. Does not respond at all.
last thing i got from her:
Oh my goodness, this was shipped awhile ago like we discussed. I am SO SO sorry and cannot believe it has taken SO long. I don't even know what to say about this but I PROMISE it has been on the way and should be there anytime, please keep me updated and I will see if I can find anything out but I know they will say I ahve to wait. Toni
and..
I will take the number with me to the post office tomorrow and see what they say because there is NO way I would pay $21.00 for shipping to let it sit here..lol This is the craziest thing ever, I mailed the ladies package to Canadas at the same time and have not heard from her I will contact her and see if she recieved hers yet, I know she is closer but I would feel better knowing one of you has your package by now, thanks for being SO understanding about this mess..Toni
and the last one..
The manager is suppose to call me he said he was checking into it, I just recieved an email from the lady in Canada and she said how ironic I would ask because she just got it yesterday, this is just ridiculus you would think the amount you have to pay for postage they could get it right. Thanks again for being so patient and understanding.Toni

On a related note: I just sent a part in for service & shipped it via Priority. According to my DC#, it's "Electronic Shipping Info Received". According to the company, it arrived last week. So even domestically, USPS = fail.

Hmm... i don't care about usps being a crap but damn the item is lost for sure (if it was shipped at all)! I wonder where and how. It was a very important item.
People, can ANYONE PLEASE call usps.com by phone and ask them about this tracking number?? I cannot do it from Russia it will cost me a million.
I wrote to them already but it's no use.

I've gotten a similar message a few times when an item was shipped and once or twice when it wasn't or the seller waited another week to actually take it to the post office. I really hate it when sellers lie about shipping. I've had a seller or two claim an item was shipped (without tracking) and then claim they were going to talk to the post office about it or that the post office told them it was delivered. Here's a tip, no tracking=the post office has no idea what you're talking about. I've found it's effective to make a call to the postal inspector and get a case opened which tends to either get the seller to make a quick refund or ship the item.

i got this from seller today:
sorry my internet was down because of some storms, I have not heard
anything from them still. The last I was told it can take awhile to get
things over seas, I might have to stop or find a better way to track. I am
sorry and PROMISE to keep in contact
...... no comments. WTF IS all this?
