I was set up at the NW Pinball & Gameroom show in Seattle this weekend and a guy I was talking to says he has a Nintendo World Championship cart and that he won in Seattle. I just looked it up and here he is:

He's also the #1 pinball player in Canada and #18 in the world. Very nice guy and no he's not selling his cartridge. He said someone offered him $1000 for it just after the contest.

I've never met a NWC winner, but then again, I suppose finding a winner is only as common as finding a NWC cart!

Congrats on meeting a champion. So, I have to ask, was his personality like a Billy Mitchell or Steve W? :)

Nope, winners are way easier to find and less expensive.

You didn't get his contact info did you? I just want a picture of his cart+cart number.

Oh man...you met Steve Wiebe...now that is truly epic. He's a bonafide hero, that man is.

I love that movie.

I didn't but I bet you can contact him through some sort of pinball organization. I believe he was part of this group http://www.vrpa.ca

He was super nice. He also confirmed that several of the controversial things in the movie happened just as they appeared in the movie and not as Billy Mitchell/Twin Galaxies would lead you to believe.
