As of today, I'm lifting my self-imposed ban on frequenting pawn shops . I though I just got lucky the past couple of times I hit them, but it looks like the pawn's around here are starting to lower prices on PSone games (finally!). Today I picked up the follwing complete and mint for $15 total:
Castlevania: SOTN (non-gh version)
Brigandine (map included)
Not bad. I've been holding off on purchasing SOTN for a long time now hoping to score a good deal in the wild. The funny thing is, every time I go into pawns now, they have ebay up on their computers and are checking prices. Guess they don't care about PSone titles anymore.

I'd mentioned this already in another thread, but I scored a Bally Astrocade at a garage sale I visited yesterday. I paid four dollars for the system in its original box, with three games. Not a bad deal if I do say so myself.

Busy day Saturday.
At the Trenton Computer Show (an annual event at the Raritan Expo Center in NJ):
22 select PlayStation games (there were many more but I chose good titles, games I needed, or rare ones) including Intelligent Qube, Radiant Silvergun, Breath of Fire IV, Ghost in the Shell, FFIX, and more... $5 each! SEALED.
N64 Pokemon Snap, some RPG whose name escapes me, and Lode Runner 3d... $5 each. Sealed.
Not game related but picked up 8 laser disc movies including Caddyshack, Tron, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Revenge of the Pink Panther and several others, all original prints in superb condition, $8 each.
At the NJ Classic XXVII last night, all through trades:
Aquired via trade with Kid Ice, Two N64 systems, one boxed; at least 4 controllers, 4 memory cards, rumble pack, 25+ games.
Also from Kid Ice: Saturn Radiant Silvergun. AT LAST.
From TV's Hasselhoff: the coolest standee I've ever seen, and one that I didn't have the heart to break down after everyone left last night: Grand Theft Auto Vice City, the one with the hand-drawn girl in the pink bikini holding a martini glass. Too cool.
From Portnoyd: a dozen boxed Genesis games, including some really good titles like Sagaia, Gaiares, and Wardner.
From CX2K: a sealed Sega Mega Jet! Damn... I'll probably open it. If you're not sure, think "Mega-Drive Nomad but without a built-in screen".

I couldn't go garage saling today, as my synagogue was having a garage sale of their own, and I volunteered to help out.
However, I did buy some stuff there, so it worked out:
* A child's BMX bike, in pretty good shape, with training wheels.
* 3 Bootleg audio cassettes: Jackson Browne - 10/73, Jackson Browne - no date, and Billy Joel - 1976
* SNES - Mario Paint- bare, label in decent condition, but with 'Video Towne' barcode label affixed to the corner.
* Genesis - Sega Club - The Berenstain Bears - Camping Adventure, in box, no manual.
* 14 TI99-4/A Cartridges - These are all pretty dingy looking -

something else to come into the store today:
It's a PSX controller, but for only one hand. Apparently it'e perfect for RPGs as the X and O buttons are on what I can only call the 'trigger' finger of the controller, while two sets of the rest of the buttons are on the left and right sides of the D-pad. That way both leftys and rightys can use it. It's a neat little device that I'll be nabbing for 5 bucks.

Hey, you DEFINITELY want to check out that Picnic Paranoia you scored. It's a really fun game... reminds me of the game Rip-Off, except there are all different kinds of bugs trying to swipe your food. It's like Atari's dirty little secret or something, the game wasn't released in cartridge form on any other system, which was quite unlike the AtariSoft line. Try it out!

Saturday..at the local "Small" Flea market...
One lady vendor I know had a fill your garabage bag for a dollar..offer that she started why I arrived at her table..I was in my glory.
She had a pile of various controllers..So I filled the bag with them..
Ialso took all the Pokemon cards in plastic sleeves..that I have no clue about..
I also found a package of Goo Gone..various pokemon figurines,hotwheel cars.various .DC power suplies,Gi Joe figurines,VCR movie tapes,Strip boards,extension cords.various crap....and a Sega PICO kids TV system..complete..
I've seen these PICO systems selling for a pretty penny on Ebay..
I was gonna leave with this big bag, then I checked out this vintage vendor..
I found some Mario and Luigi figurines that I never seen before..
I also grabbed some Coca cola figurines(for Wife) and a Block Head (Gumby) mini figurine.
Then I went to see another vendor I know..he had a huge box..with Systems in it..
Newer model Sega Saturn,Old style Sega Cd with Geniesis on top, newer model Genisis,Nintendo, all hook ups, around 20 various games and bunch of controllers..some that I don't have and I'm a controller nut..
Everything was clean like someone just too them off a shelf..and everything works.
I paid $25.00 for the whole lot..
I have the older Sega Saturn model but I wanted the newer one too,so now I got it..
I already sold the new model Genesis for $20.00..and I'll sell the Nintendo.I have too many of them.
I'll keep the Sega CD as a spare..It's my 3rd in that model..
I had a good day..
