Having just picked up Persona 3 for the PS2 I started realising how much I love playing games that sort of take me back to the schooldays, be it high school or college. For us who have grown a bit older and are holding down jobs that are stressing us out and other horrid adult pressures, it's just nice going back to simpler days if only for a few hours.
So, what are your favourite games that do this; take you back to a high school/college setting?

Goldeneye (N64) takes me back to high school. Spent oh so much time playing that (probably 400 hours at a bare minimum). College was all about PC so probably more like Starcraft, Half-Life, & Diablo II.

Oh maybe I wasn't clear in my post. I meant the games themselves taking place in a school setting/environment. Sorry.

Ghoul School
The Obscure series immediately comes to mind, the first one took place in High School and the second one took place on a College campus.

Bully is a good one.
Bully and the Kunio-kun series are what immediately spring to mind.

You had a PS 2 in high school?
Snood was played nearly every day in electronics class, along with Starcraft. In computing systems we had a mid-term of making $1,000,000 dollars and having a population of 100,000 in SimCity 2000 with disasters turned on. It was apart of the "modeling and simulation" curriculum. Then there was all of the TI calculator games written in ASM and BASIC. The typical educational games were installed on various science room computers through middle and high school.
As for college, it's all been whatever you bring so nearly every PC game I install on the lappy.

Man, you're completely missing the point of this thread. Go back and read the OP again.

Kunio-Kun and Bully take me back to my HS days. However, when I was in the military Final Fantasy VIII reminded me of basic training for some reason. Perhaps it was because it came out while I was going though training (right after high school). I remember playing the game in AIT and thinking that high school life is finally over and the real world was sucking me in.

Final Fantasy 8. Love the 'Garden' school... and I love that I get to play someone as principally anti-social as I am! Also, high-school in real life would have far exceeded my wildest dreams if they had a Jurassic Park built-in where you could battle T-Rex's for extra credit (all we had were Atriums that flooded our classrooms when it rained).
FF8 came out only 1 year after I graduated, but the other thing that brought me back to about my sophomore year was the card game, Triple Triad. When I was 16 or so Magic the Gathering was the big to-do for us nerdy types on campus...so yeah
Persona 3, is of course, also fantastic.

How about the arcade game Mikie? The whole game takes place in a school. I remember playing this when I was in elementary school at the local supermarket. The game was funny, but hard as hell.

Haha, well said.
Most dating sims happen around some sort of school/college. And yes, even most H-games too.

Shiritsu Justice Gakuen: Legion of Heroesaka Rival Schools had the School Life Mode (Japan only), which was actually pretty fun if you don't mind missing out on the story (assuming you don't read Japanese).

The PS2 game Ikki Tousen:Shining Dragon and the upcoming PSP Ikki Tousen:Eloquent Fist are basically high school gangs fighting other high school gangs. Most of the arenas take place in in schoolyard settings.

One I forgot that I'm surprised no one else mentioned considering it's a classic series: Silent Hill. Theres a creepy school full of creepy classrooms in the first game and I believe a school makes an appearance in atleast one more game in the series.
