Family Feud for 3DO - wtf?!?

I won a 3DO off of eBay. It's an FZ-1 that came with three controllers (2 official and 1 madcatz 6 button) and Samurai Shodown. When I opened the disc tray, Family Feud was in the system. I didn't know it came with the system, but whatever - a free game is a free game.

I played the hell out of Samurai Shodown and love it :)

After that, I tried Family Feud. It blows. Hard. The questions were hard to get mostly because they were either poorly worded or because they were crafted in 1993-94 so the answers are ridiculous nowadays.

Anyways, I got sick of the game pretty fast and the game asked the question "name something that children often imitate the sound of" - because I was bored of the game I answered "crappy 3DO game" and it said "let's see what the survey says" *BING* and I got the number 1 answer, "dog".

What the hell? Does this game love the abuse or what?

It's a still image of Ray Combs and the contestants (as far as I can tell the only FMV is when the idiot families are clapping) Even though it shows Ray Combs, the announcer is just some random guy. It's terrible.

LOL that's hillarious.

The reason "Crappy 3do Game" worked is due to the way some of the old Family Feud Games worked. It seems to me that this game is based off of the SNES version, where you could give the answer "Oatmeal" or something of the like, and it would give you the answer "tea". The reason this works, and the reason your answer worked is due to the check that the game makes. The Game looks for the letters "D-O-G" in that order in your answer. However, the game doesn't check to make sure those are the only letters used.

Since you answered "Crappy 3 D-O-G ame, it thought you answered right.

I sold a prototype version of this to the guy that released all those Genesis and Gamecube Sega prototypes a few months back. I haven't heard back from him since... I was hoping he'd archive all the stuff in those discs.

My friend found a game inside her 3DO when she bought it too. Only in her's was a copy of Lucienne's Quest.

My 3D0 had some crappy golf game insidewhen i got it, and the only other game I could find cheap was another golf game so i sold the system and the golf games to some dude in Scandinavia. Just toget that shit out of my house and the country!! lol, I do miss the system and will probably pick another up if i can find some decent games.
