That's the way to do it, make small goals.

That's great! Congrats on the 100 NES games.

You should post your milestones in the offical Milestones thread located here http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?t=111442&highlight=milestone
And when you get 150 NES games post it there too.

Congratulations on your achievement!

So, what is your ultimate goal? Is it to have a complete NES set or games you grew up with or something else?

Even though this isn't my thread, I'll just say that I'm collecting mostly for nostalgia... I think it makes collecting a bit more rewarding because you have previous memories of the game.

a lot of the games i have purchased have been for sentimental reasons. I mean for god sakes i bought NHLPA 93 for SNES the other day! But i absolutley love that game. There are still a few nes games i'm looking for but in time i know i'll get them

Nice. I still hate myself to this day for selling off my NES collection of about 130 games to buy some SNES games so long ago.

I know what you mean about sports games. When I first started collecting, one of the first games I looked for was NCAA Basketball for the SNES.

I wouldn't worry about it too much though. I'm sure most people have a game that they like, that wouldn't make too many top 10 lists.

Congratulations on your achievement. It won't be long before you're at 150 and shooting for 200.

Do you collect cartridge variants? If so, you should keep your eyes peeled for the 5 screw gold Legend of Zelda. Very sexy.

Congrats. I've been working on getting my favorite Nes games from childhood and then getting their Japanese Famicom equivalent. It's taking alittle longer than expected but when I finish I'm going to make a thread for it.

5 screw??? wtf where did i miss this? ((goes and checks zelda cartridges........)) D'OH only 3 screw, but now that you mentioned it i will definately keep an eye out for that. how much rarer is it?

The 5 screw LoZs aren't particularly easy to find (in the wild), but if you were to check eBay, you would probably have a pretty good chance at finding one for about the same price as a normal 3 screw cartridge. I think I have around 5 or 6 NTSC Legend of Zelda label and cartridge variants right now.

You should check out nintendoage.com if you are really interested in collecting NES and meeting people with the same passion. It's even got a cartridge rarity database and a monthly e-zine.
