I picked up a bunch of old computer stuff today and I have no idea what I've got really. Below is a list of the games I got, I put the system if it said it on the box, but some didn't say anything about what system it's for. Any additional info about anything would be great (rarity, value, etc.).
Also do you guys think it'd be worth it for me to look for something to play these games on? There is also a large number of disks with homemade labels, anything I should look out for?

You got some decent C64 stuff there... you could probably turn around and sling Hitchhikers, Gunship, Bard's Tale, Blue Max 2001 (especially) and Battle Chess on eBay for decent money...

depending on the storage over the years these discs MAY be completely dead. just a heads up as the older 5.25's were pretty damned flimsy and could be killed by: Bending, moisture, relative proximity to electrical wiring and magnets, sunlight, and probably a whole host of other things to boot. might be worth it to test them and see if any of them are corrupted. Then again thats what the sold as is untested clause was made for.

If you're willing to put the time into them, given you didn't spend too much on them you could get a decent return on your investment, especially with that C64 stuff. To test the 64 stuff you'll need at least a 1541 drive, a C64 and some patience.

Side comment, doesn't this belong in the what's it worth forum?

EDIT: WOOHOO!!! JACKPOT!!! 777th post lol

If you'd like to track something down to play the C64 games, I know at flea markets and the like, the systems themselves don't run much. I know a friend who, in northwest Ohio, got a complete C64 system CIB along with a stack of floppies for less than $20 at an auction. I bet if you do a little searching, you could find a cheap way to try out those games.

But, yes, looking at the games I recognize there, you do have a fairly decent lot.

I've been kind of looking for a C64, but never looked real hard because I had nothing to try before, but it's at the top of my list of stuff to find at garage sale and flea markets now.
And I wasn't concerned about value/resale value too much because I got it all (plus some controllers) for free.

Will the disks that don't say C64 on them work on any computer with a 5.25" drive?

Sadly not, you're gonna need a machine and drive for every format.

For the disks that are copies of originals, it's illegal to sell those right? What about giving them away?

Damn, that sounds expensive and space-consuming. Any of those titles really worth playing?

The copies, I can't see an issue if you just sell them as "blanks", and don't mention they have copy games on. See it all the time on eBay.

As for the play worthiness of the games, oh definitely some of them are worth it. But if you're not into collecting computer games, then I would recommend downloading the games and playing them in emulation and selling the originals; as mentioned above, you'd get decent money for some of the C64 titles.
