Im still waiting for my Tunnels and Trolls?

Yeah I was just thinking back to 1984 when I looked in the back of a gaming magazine and saw that this video game for Coleco Vision was coming out called Tunnels and Trolls. I begged my dad to give me the money to send off, pre order this game. It looked cool for the time but shame to say uh 40 some odd years later my mailbox is still empty! O_O


Did anyone ever see this game appear, or was there an emulator rom that is floating around? I would like to see what I was so worked up about for all these years...

That would be a negatory.... and I hate to break it to you, but its only been 24 years since 1984... not 40something, that is unless you've discovered some kind of time warp and come back partially in time. If thats the case i'd love some winning lotto numbers.

Can't say I've even heard of it but it reminds me of a similar disappointing story. as a kid i found my dads old intellivision in the attic this was circa the sega genesis era of my life. along with the system and a few carts were some brouchures of upcoming games, one of those games was dungeons and dragons and i thought it looked awesome. fast forward to 2008, i buy a copy of this game for intellivision only to find its completely different from the one in the magazine! so i look into it and the one in the magazine was a very early beta! not that what they released wasn't good but after wanting a game for 15 years to find out its completely different than the only pictures you've ever seen of it can be a bit of a let down. heres hoping that preordered cart shows up someday ;) stranger things have happened http://www.thebostonchannel.com/news/15289356/detail.html

The back of the ColecoVision shows screenshots for Spectar, Rip Cord, Chess Challenger, Side Track, and, yes, Tunnels and Trulls. Funny that so many games advertised never were officially released. Can you imagine that happening today?
