Price Guide UPC Scanner???

I am currently at Ebay live and someone in the collectibles roundtable just mentioned that at yard sales he comes across a bunch of people who use some sort of UPC code scanners on Games and CD's that are attached to some sort of software that links to a price guide. Does anyone know what these little handheld devices are?

You can modify a cue cat to scan regular upcs. It's fairly easy to do, and it works well.
