So I was at a Zero's sub place earlier tonight and saw they had two lonely cabs in the back. Went to check them out and here's the view:

The Avengers cab looked pretty nice but the Turtles one was an eye sore. Here's a better look at the half-ass control panel:

This isn't an upscale restaurant but what gives? Why would such an ugly job on an arcade, let alone a converted cab be allowed on the streets like this? It is rented out by the local Arcade vendor that runs a few nice arcades at the beach and downtown but this is the first time I saw such a conditioned arcade from them.

This looks more like some high school project than a professional job. Do others see this sort of workmanship out there in places that you'd expect better?

You were expecting better at a Zero's subs? They don't look that bad.

No problems with the Avengers game, but the Turtles is like bleh. It just doesn't look attractive and the non-matching 3rd player stick. Maybe it's just me or a minority that would agree it looks unprofessional, but I expect some better talent from them. I'm sure you're familiar with the company I'm talking about. It works and is playable, but that's all it has going for it at the moment.

The Turtles is an abomination, and an affront to the greatness of the game, IMO. Worst one I remember seeing recently was a NARC converted to Neo Geo....Talk about crap. And, also, I agree....How hard is to change out the joystick handle so that a.They are all round, or b.They are all Happ-style.

That's actually not a bad conversion. The mis-matched joystick likely came when the original broke and the route guy replaced it with whatever he had in his parts box to keep the game earning quarters.

It's got nothing on Xenophobe, though. Of course, I'm a bit partial...
