I did a search for this on the forums and came up with nothing so forgive me if this has been posted.

I was very impressed with this. Guy made it did a superb job. A sweet fan made project. You can get the 8-bit tracks here: http://www.rockmanpm.com/?p=music/rockman7fc

Very neat. I can't tell, did he use art from the Neo Geo Pocket game? Now they should do Megaman 8, heh.

I freaking LOVE this!

Really faithfully done. Its more of a remake than a port, the 4 boss select was done away with, intro stage too. Just a great classic feel. I dig out my NES controller and a USB adapter for it, fired up joy2key and Im loving it.

Too bad its incomplete (from what I hear). Great little filler game while waiting for Rockman 9.

I am shocked and amazed as to how this project came to reality. It is something I always thought about back in the day. I seem to remember as a kid seeing a preview guide to Mega Man 7 on the NES, but then it was shelved for the SNES version. Whether or not Capcom actually planned an NES version, this remake of the SNES game is truly special, and most definitely needs to be reproduced on an NES cart. :-D

I don't think it's an NES rom guys. It's just a program isn't it?

Its not an NES ROM no, just a standalone program. The game does stuff the NES hardware cant do anyway. =)
