Here is an interesting thread discussing the price comparisons between our new auction site and Ebay. Also, notice how many of their items are selling. I hope this will convince more of you DigitPressers to give the Chuckwagon an opportunity to get your auction business.

So far hasn't happened. And I don't think we will have issues like that for a while as we have a nice base of collectors on there now. But if and when it happens I will personally get involved and contact the Seller who failed to ship. Obviously it will try to be worked out cordially, but if all else fails the seller will be booted straight off the Chuckwagon and collection attempts will be made.

But your question did get me thinking some more. I wonder, does Paypal protect buyers for items not shipping from an Ebay auction. I am thinking not. I will have to look into this a bit.

credit card companies do. I know a lot of people who have bypassed paypal completely and done credit card chargebacks

I think it may depend on the card issuer, but can be done.

ChaseTheChuckwagon.com is more than simply an auction site. It's an auction site that is filling up with collectors (over 550 to this day). This has many advantages at least in this stage of the game. These advantages are being seen and appreciated by the collectors who are buying and selling there every day.

What advanatages are there when dealing with collectors in the Chuckwagon community:

1) Very accurate descriptions of items being sold
2) Higher quality items
3) No out of whack shipping prices
4) Care in packaging
5) Fast paying

And our recently launched member forums are a great complement to our auction site. What better way to get to know the people you are buying and selling amongst.

This combination auction and forum environment is dedicated to nurturing the collector community spirit and assuring that ChaseTheChuckwagon.com is a safe haven for collectors to buy, sell and interact for years to come.

It does in fact provide that very protection. You can open a dispute if an item is not received and if the seller can't provide proof of delivery, Paypal does a chargeback. If the seller has no funds in their Paypal account or no valid bank account or credit card, the buyer could end up with nothing. Still, on the two occasions I used that protection, I got my money back.

I must say that I have been impressed with CTCW and your auction services. You might want to contact Paypal just to confirm your auction site is covered in the event of a fraudulent seller. I believe the coverage is not exclusive to Ebay even though they own Paypal.

You're right. I will verify with Paypal and confirm next week :)
