Just wondering - if you purchased it so recently, why not just return it at Walmart? Wouldn't that be easier?

Yep, Walmart will take it back. If you bought it a month ago, you should be able to return it...

Most likely he has used it but it is "like new". So now he can't return it.

You can buy a tv from walmart and use it, and take it back. Say your not satisfied with it, or you dont like it. They typically dont care. You can take just about ANYTHING back to walmart.

I would buy it, but I am working on my mame instead.

Well SOME people can do that.

I personally have a little more morality than that. You know the whole "Do unto others" thing :)

And I would buy it to but I have stupid taxes due in 3 weeks. :(

Some stores (and I bet Walmart will soon do this) are implementing the 15% Restocking Fee if used but opened.

Sears does, and I am glad they do. I love when a customer arrives with the sappy excuse that "it did not meet their expectations" and I nail them with the 15%. Usually they complain and ask for the manager, in which I refuse to do so. Only when they threaten do I call the manager, but the main operations manager. He then proceeds to say what I've been saying all along: they must pay the 15% restocking fee. Then they complain and such, and threated with a lawsuit (never pans out) or they will never shop in Sears...only to see them two days later shopping again. O_o

The 15% restocking fee is to prevent situations like these.

In any case, I would suggest another avenue that is NOT Ebay. Ever since the policy change, very bad things have been happening over there.
