It's true.
I've never publicly admitted this but since we now have a forum for rhythm games, it's time to come out of the Bust-a-Groove closet.
Maybe it's because the game is a great alternative for people who SUCK at Dance Dance Revolution - in this one you follow the arrows and all but your character dances on-screen; maybe it's because it's similar to the PaRappa series in that you're mimicking a series of keypresses; or maybe it's because I'm a little girlie man.
If you're a girlie man like me, what's are some of your favorite characters and/or stages and/or songs? I love the way the stages are interactive and things change based on the way you play (again, very similar to PaRappa and UmJammer).
Confess!

I never played the PS2 Bust-a-Groove (which was reworked into Britney's Dance Beat), but I have the U.S. versions of BAG 1 and 2, and the Japanese BAG 2, which contains the notorious endings chopped out of the U.S. localization. Someday, I'll go through BAG 2 and grab screens of those endings, which include a girl finding out that the man of her dreams is gay. (The word "gay" isn't specifically used, but it's made abundantly clear that the man is homosexual -- a videogame first, perhaps?)
My favorite character in BAG 1 is Frida, and my favorite song is the Bust-A-Groove theme (Pinky's stage). In BAG 2, it's Comet the roller-skater and her stage's song.

Err.. well, I've never played the second one, but I definatly liked the first. I like Gas-O. How cool would it be to be a breakdancin guy sporting a gasmask? As for music, I'd say I probably like Kitty-N's level the best, but that is probably because I can't really remember anyone else's music. :P

I've never played this game, but I've heard good things, maybe I should check it out...

Of all the games I've sold over the years, this is the ONLY one I wish I hadn't. The music in this game rocks, the characters are funny, and it's a really terrific game all the way around.
Fave character? Burger Dog! Or Hamm. Maybe reminds me of me?
Fave moves? Gas-O's moves are coolest, IMHO.
Fave song? Hiro! Natural Playboy!!!! Haaaaa!!!1

Burger Dog!
That name alone makes me want to go out and get this game.

I'm smitten with this series. The dancers are all so unique, and the music is just something else. All done by AvexTrax, which puts out an insane amount of dance stuff in Japan, and is a major player in Japanese music. The U.S. versions are well worth the inflated price for rythm fans, but the imports are that much better. Spike takes a swig outta his flask in the import, just one of the cool touches cut out of our puritan versions.

I have Bust a Groove 2, but never tried it, I have been thinking of selling \ trading it. I have never tried this genre, maybe I should go pop it in before I decide to release it.
