I am trying to find replacement CD lens/drives for the following systems:

Sega Saturn (round buttons)
Sega CD (version 2)
Dreamcast

Other systems would be appreciated, though for now I am concentrating with these.

Any ideas? I know these can be replaced, and in some instances the replacement part can be found easily.

Any ideas?

Thanks, but why didn't this appear when I did the search!? (Forum search)

-_-

Also, what about complete sets, like with the motor?

the problems with stuff like this is that a lot of the tome it's almost the cost of just getting a damn new one, shipping and all :| sometimes even more.... saturn 2 the reader is like 60 bucks or something :| can get one for like 30 shipped.

You can buy spare motors too. Most of them carry a label with the model number.

Some of the models that I've put in the linked thread are complete drives with lens and mechanism and some are just the lens.

Thanks for the info guys.

I have a Sega CD Model 2 which was given to me that simply does not read discs. It does not even spin. My guess it that it's the motor or the entire assembly.

I'll risk opening the console and try to repair it. Heck, its a great job! But what do you guys think? Motor? Anything else?
