Sorry if somebody already posted this INSANE AUCTION!!!! :hmm:

Saturn (http://cgi.ebay.com/RARE-SEGA-SATURN-SYSTEM-BRAND-NEW-3-GAMES_W0QQitemZ170236017439QQihZ007QQcategoryZ1399 71QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

Yes, that's right, it's a boxed complete Saturn for the low low price of $550. :?

I think some people actually buy these crazy-priced auctions. That is the only explanation for these auctions popping up. Maybe I'll sell my mint *RARE* Super Mario Brothers 1 Vintage Original Nintendo NES cart as a STEAL for $999.99

What really gets me is the fact that the people with these auctions actually feel the need to charge shipping. If this guy gets $550 for a Sega Saturn he should feel grateful enough to let the $20 shipping charge (and $3 insurance charge) slide. Well, greed is ripping the world apart so this does not surprise me.

Hey, that is how much the Saturn cost when it launched in Canada.

Well, I mostly agree but honestly how often do you find such items complete and un-used in the original package? Such things are becoming more rare and people are willing to pay for the privelidge of getting like new consoles..........

The fact that he opened it automatically makes it "used" in my book. I don't know if anyone else feels that way, but when I was collecting, people who did that on eBay and tried to jack up the price got no bids from me.

It's basically the same thing as saying "mint! new!" for an old vintage game and then saying the shrinkwrap has been taken off but the game has never been played. Yeah right. Bullshit I say.

I could be wrong but I don't think US Saturns came factory sealed. I still have mine that I bought from Sears when they were clearing them out and it does not have a seal but it is unopened.

As far as I know, this is correct. I have a new Saturn I purchased at the Marine Corps Exchange when they were clearancing them and it also has no seal. My recollection was that the US Dreamcast also had no seal.

LOL!

And I bet if I search around, I can find a better deal for like $20 a cart, brand new.

I love Ebay. :)
