In the many times I've come to you fine folks for ID'ing games that have slipped my mind, you've always managed to come through. I need your help once more.

The game involved flying a plane and bombing factories as well as the AA tanks that surrounded them. The plane flies from the bottom of the screen to the top right as the ground scrolls underneath in 3D diagonally. After a bombing run, the player has to land the plane and refuel. Not landing results in going to the next run on an empty tank and ultimately crashing. Upon its destruction, the plane simply becomes a black outline on the ground. The game was played on a PC in the mid 80's, but I forget which one.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

aside from the 3d part, it sounds a little bit like raid on bungling bay on the nes, maybe a pc version of it?

My guess was Blue Max.

And you can drop bombs on bridges too, while avoiding other aircraft flying on the same plane as you? It's got to be Blue Max. It's a good'un.

Once again, the Roundtable comes through.

Blue Max it is. Thanks, Flack!

I remember playing this game for hours on end. For some reason, Blue Max just popped up in my mind and I could not remember the name for the life of me.
