We are currently working on upgrading the gallery. Hopefully things will go swell and we'll be back online later this evening.

Okay, upgrade's all done. Apologies to those of you who have been having problems uploading pictures. I think everything's working, so if somebody wants to play around with it and make sure things are working properly, that would be great!

Version 1.5.7 has a comment spam blacklist feature which I turned on which will hopefully cut down on the comment spam. Version 1.6 and the new 2.x line both feature Captcha and we will be implementing that as soon as possible.

hey great job indeed.
Page 11 is not functioning yet.

Out of the 900+ galleries, 1 got corrupted during the upgrade. As you noticed, it's on page 11. Unfortunately I can't tell which one it is. I'm going to do some re-sorting and try and find it. Thanks for the catch!

I did a search for "grandamchandler" and it pulled this

500 Internal Server Error

The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.
The script had an error or it did not produce any output. If there was an error, you should be able to see it in the error log.

To say the gallery is working is a bit of an overstatement -- limping, is more like it. The search feature is broken and some of the galleries are apparently too big for the new version. We'll be upgrading to the new version sometime over the next month, which should solve all our problems. Thanks for all the testing!

these types of things rarely go smoothly.

Flack rocks!

I LOVE that site, but it's been broken for a few months now. Something changed on the server (that site isn't hosted on our dedicated server), that started the problems. I've exhausted my rather limited knowledge and then my fairly substantial patience as I googled away at a solution. Thankfully there are people in this community like Flack who not only have the dedication but also the expertise.

And that's not all! He didn't even mention the forum upgrade we're about to undergo, which will be the first major upgrade since we switched software a few years ago. Big stuff, really GOOD stuff. So he's been a busy man.

Thanks again, Rob!

Sorry, that was my fault. If you log back in you will now have the ability to create your new room of doom. Are you sure your old one's not in there anywhere? Joe and I spent several days converting all the old ones over to the new version of the software.

What happened to the old pics?

I have just been chugging along adding new pics and realized that I do not know how I can find my old ones.

I like them for nostalgia. I look there and see the cool setup I used to have. If you need to e-mail them to me because they are not within a db as being active, I can PM you my e-mail address.

I upgraded the site to version 2.3. The new version includes akismet (finally) so I hope that will stop the wave of incoming spam. It won't delete the old spam comments (you'll have to do that) but it should slow down new ones.

The search feature still times out occasionally. If that happens, try doing an advanced search and limiting the number of fields that you search. I'm still messing with the timeout settings, trying to find a balance between "not timing out" and "not loading forever."

You can search for your old album lots of ways. If you can give me some information about it like what name you registered under or the title of your collection I will try and help you find it.
