I've gone the last three years, and for some reason last year seemed far more 'ho hum' than the rest. The One-Ups and the Minibosses definitely make it worth buying a pass, but other than that... yeah, dunno. My circle of friends just uses it as an excuse to hang out and play tons of video games.

A friend of mine went last year, and she had a blast.

On an interesting note, Uwe Boll was there as a surprise guest, promoting the Postal movie.

PAX simply is what E3 should have been the last two years.

It is worth going to
It is huge
You get to play games before they come out on all major consoles and PCs
There is specific side rooms for pen and paper, collectable card, minature and more types of games
Also NWCGE will be doing the "retro room" once again...we have also posted on it on their forum if you want to make recommendations

As in some previous shows, NWCGE will be supporting the retro game room at the show. It is going to be awsome this year. Anyone here going? Look for the worn N64 Zelda shirt :)

I had a great time at this year's PAX, though I still felt that last year's was a little bit more memorable. I documented my trip in two blogs:
