Boat - Backyard doesn't scratch the same itch as Power Pros does.

It's too dumbed down, it is made for kids after all. I had one version, and did a scoring recap version of the Super Bowl here...the final score for a 3 minute / quarter game was something like 77-74, I think my post was about 3 pages long. And the opposing team did stupid stuff like punt on the last play of the game...down by only 3.

I guess NFL Blitz may be the closest, but I don't think that's quite right either...

Nothing that I know of since its got a kiddy look and a non arcade feel. What scoots keeps referencing to are arcade styled games (ala Blitz and NBA Jam ect).

Fear not!! Tecmo Bowl: Kickoff is coming to the DS with full customization options very shortly....AND a Wii version is coming out late this year (I believe) also!

PLUS!! A DS version of MLB Power Pros is coming stateside later this fall!! Pray for DS/Wii connectivity!!:angel:

Power Pros is based on a Japanese baseball series, and they don't play American football in Japan.
