Help: Playing XBOX Prototype Discs on Retail Unit

hi!

i finally managed to get this xbox beta from a friend, i got my xbox modded since some time but the disc wont play.. it seems like its using a completely different layout as retail discs.. when browing through it using the xbox it only shows a video_ts dir.. so when inserted the xbox thinks its indeed a dvd movie and just plays a videofile which says "your xbox cant play this disc" etc...

on a debug (green) unit this disc plays just fine.. anyone got a tip on how to get it working?

Are you sure it's not a PAL encoded disk? All the XBOX betas I know of work on modified units with ease...I can't seem to play a FINAL on a modded XBOX, though....It alosl ooks like a "silver" disk. Some Microsoft betas also play on retail units...

this is a pal disc, but my xbox is pal region too.. so that should not be a problem i guess

I agree with DreamTr that looks like a silver. I've never seen a CDR proto with the xbox hologram ring lokks like a silver. Try it on a NON modded retail Xbox.
