Hey guys, the other day I made a little video tribute to SUNSOFT. It's a part of several tributes to gaming I plan on making called "Gaming Glimpses." I put it online today and would love to hear feedback from you, the true gamers.

I know we've had discussions on SUNSOFT here before. When searching youtube, I was amazed to find that no one had done any such tribute on this great company. Hopefully this will fill the void.

EPISODE 1 - SUNSOFT - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=02oEuTN8ZyY

EPISDOE 2 - MR. NUTZ - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rspsThoZByI

EPISODE 3 - DINO CITY - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M8nq_V7GC_8

Again guys, any feedback or suggestions on what I should do next would be greatly appreciated!

That was pretty solid. It was well put-together. I also feel obligated to compliment you on your commentary -- you're a good speaker.

The comedy is a little forced, but overall it was a good tribute. Could even stand to be a bit longer, with maybe a broader look at their best/worst games.

I love the Family Matters clip, but yeah.. way too short. I didn't really learn anything.

"Yeah, they're really good games. Sunsoft is good. Here's a random joke."

Thanks for the feedback guys! To be honest, the reason why it's so short is because of the title of the series. It's just a glimpse. I want to be able to do lots of these when time permits me. I'll try to make the next one a little longer though, maybe 4 minutes will do it.

I liked it, very good voice-over. I would have also liked to see alittle more "glimpses" they went by too fast.

How about a Taito or Irem version?

Thanks man. I actually already had the 2nd episode in production, and here it is:

This one is about the Super Nintendo game "MR. NUTZ". More importantly, it's about the character himself. Great game that is overlooked all the time.

Hope you guys enjoy! Please let me know what you think of it.

Hey man, thanks for the input! I'm glad that you liked them. The next one will probably be about Phantasy Star Online for the Dreamcast.

Nice videos! (Except for Urkel... I always hated him.)

The Sunsoft one was kinda lacking in substance, but was a good overview of their hits and decline into obscurity. How about mentioning that their NES hits were often various big-time movie licenses, while on the SNES they seemed to churn out awful Looney Tunes licenses one after another? I'm almost glad they put themselves out of their misery.

And a glimpse into their more obscure (Japanese) greats (Hebereke, Gimmick!, Trip World) might be a good idea for a Sunsoft Part 2.

I also liked Dino City quite a lot back in the day. The Japanese version (Dyna Wars) contains no reference at all to the awful movie, which is a relief.

Finally, I've never played Mr. Nutz on the SNES/Gen (Developed by Krisalis), but an interesting point of trivia is that a similar version was developed on the Amiga computer by a different team composed of demo coders. As a result, it has some great graphics, sound, and special effects: http://hol.abime.net/2527/screenshot
