This isn't THAT close to Charlotte, but it's where I go when I'm somewhat in the area:
In Greensboro, NC, there is a store called Hi-Tech Games on Battleground Avenue. I've picked up all sorts of stuff there (3DO's, XEYE's, Jaguar stuff, etc). The prices aren't that bad either.
