I just recently got a few SNES games and I get nothing but a black screen when turning on the power. The carts look in good shape and from my experience I usually never have trouble with any SNES games working, any idea what could be the problem? Maybe just a good cleaning? It's not the system as several other games I have, load with no problem.

In my experience, nearly every NES or SNES game I've ever bought from a dirty-looking old fellow at a flea market can be tricked into working with a simple good cleaning.
To clean a cartridge properly, I recommend heading over to the Nintendo Repair Shop (http://www.nintendorepairshop.com/) and pick up some anti-static cloths, both types of cleaning solution (one for cleaning, one for cleaning off the cleaner) and the screwdriver to open cartridges properly. I have a collection of NES games, many of which I had never played because they didn't work. Cleaning them with the tools on that site fixed them!
Good luck.

Hey thanks for the advice, I actually just tried using some simple q tips and alcohol and amazingly all of them now work, didn't think something as simple as that would work but it did. :D
