Q - What's better than selling bootleg unreleased PC Engine games?
A - Selling obscenely expensive bootleg unreleased PC Engine games... (http://www.videogameimports.com/get_game.php?product=8395)
I apologise if this is legit, but I couldn't find anything by Googling. Really well done boot though.

It's definitely not legit. The description on the site all but outright admits that it's a bootleg, in fact.
I'd actually be willing to pay for a well-made bootleg of Space Fantasy Zone, but not that much.
Depending on how it was produced and how many were produced, they might not even be making that much profit on them, though, really.

That's pretty rad. I'd like to ahve a copy, but yeah that's expensive for a bootleg.
Maybe I should try to recreate the boxart...

It's a shame this game never came out as it is fun...and I do appreciate the quality of this bootleg. If it was $50 I'd probably buy it. (like those Sapphire boots that used to be around)
Although, Sapphire is finally getting a port to JPN PSP, so maybe we will see this game surface on a future Fantasy Zone comp of some sort.
That's a damn fine-looking bootleg. If it were around $50, I'd buy one too.

This (http://www.pcengine.co.uk/Images-Artwork/COVER-Space_Fantasy_Zone.jpg) is what I used for the cover on my copy. Maybe try cleaning it up or use it as reference for your own effort?
I agree that a very short print run with this high quality is going to be quite expensive, but surely this is taking the piss. VGI are known for having rather inflated prices though. I am disappointed to see that they've gone from selling Neo Geo Home Cart conversions to selling PCE bootlegs. Next thing you know, they'll be selling those bootleg copies of Sapphire. Well bugger me! what do you know... (http://www.videogameimports.com/get_game.php?product=5033).

I can do one better on the artwork:

I'd imagine most of the logos could be grabbed from other scans.

The art was definately made for the game...or maybe vice versa. That girl is the Weaponalds clerk in the game.
edit: ok, i'm gonna play around with making covers for this. we'll see how they turn out...tomorrow...maybe.
edit: holy crap, getting a good copy of the game's logo to work with is pretty impossible. if anyone has a nice scannable copy, please hook us up!

Oh wow, CD-R?!
That's totally ridiculous. Yeah the packaging is very well done, but $140 for a bootlegged game on CD-R? Admittedly, maybe it's not fair to convert foreign currency into dollars and claim the person is gouging anymore given how worthless the dollar is these days. But still, 70GBP for a CD-R is just obviously a scam.
