Mine doesn't lag at all.

Good luck with the investigation, hope you didn't get a bootleg.

Yeah, if you open it up and take a picture of the circuit boards, the sides of them with the chips, I can definitely tell you whether or no it is legitimate.

What would make a bootleg lag? Slower chip speeds or something?

Maybe some form of hardware compression?

Seeing the board with the ROMs on it would be better. That's the other side.

It definitely looks like a bootleg.

What's the second board look like..?

I am a bit stumped..The chips look good but no SNK on the boards....Hmmmm...It's so clean..

I don't rememer if MS had any Slowdown as you'd call it...I know 2 does..I think MSX fixed that ,,I have that game in my cab and I'll have to check again..
I've gotten used to how legit MVS carts play so if there's slowdown I just don't pay attention to it as it's normal..

I'll have to pop open my own Metal Slug in the morning for comparison..

I say Boot.

There aren't any Toshiba markings on the chips and a lack of SNK board makes me think this one's ready for the trash.

That is definitely a bootleg. You can pick up Metal Slug on the MVS for pretty cheap, it shouldn't be too hard to find a legit one.

I'm dying to see what the other board looks like..the top one is so neatly done..I'd love to see the soldering underneath..I bet it's clean too.

The boards,no snk and those extra holes..Yea Boot...
